Finished residency in 2005. Finished glaucoma fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in 2009. Served active duty in the Army for 21 years serving at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Fort Sam Houston, Fort Benning, and finishing as the Program Director for the Ophthalmology Residency Program at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. I retired out of the Army in 2021 and went into private practice with Eye Doctors of Washington with offices in Washington DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. I currently specialize in cataract and glaucoma surgery. My current passion is adopting new glaucoma procedures, keeping track of outcomes, and finding innovative ways to perform or combine glaucoma surgeries. I currently perform trabeculectomy, glaucoma drainage implants both valved and non-valved, Xen 45 gel stent, micropulse TLT, endoscopic cyclophotocoagulation, iStent, Hydrus, ab interno canalplasty, goniotomy, and trabeculotomy. I love educating residents and patients and very much enjoy the constant exchange of ideas with peers. I aim to never become stagnant or complacent and hope to keep pressing forward seeking ways to deliver better care.
